Inaugurated on 15 April 2011, the Grand Théâtre seats 1,800 spectators over six levels: concerts, ballets, plays, festivals and major ceremonies, with 206 dressing and rehearsal rooms for artists. It is named after drum master Doudou Ndiaye Coumba Rose.
